Yuvraj was really angry with the fans during the presentation ceremony. I am not sure what was the crowd response, but maybe Yuvraj needs to understand a couple of things.
When Rooney plays for ManU in a game against Liverpool or Chelsea, Liverpool or Chelsea supporters may even heckle Rooney. When Rooney plays for England, the same crowd will unite and support him.
Yuvraj’s best answer should have been hitting several sixes off Pollock. That will quieten the crowd like nothing else will. Is he wrong to expect any support for Indians from non-home clubs? Is it okay to boo Indian players?
Edited to add:
Here is an India today article on the same.
I still think Yuvraj should have composed himself at the presentation and if he needed to make a statement – it should have been articulated better.
It was poor of him to resort to such spoiled childish behaviour. He is a spoiled brat!

Yes, I don’t think it was particularly smart either. They have to play the semi finals and finals there – why put the crowd against them.

If yuvi plays as a Indian player against any other country, we MUMBAIKAR definitely support; but if he is playing against MUMBAIKARS -Mumbai Indians, Yuvi should not think for our support.
We would have support him if Punjab team meets final with any other team other than Mumbai; but now definitely NOT.

He expects the crowd to support the visiting team, instead of their home team, who by the way put up a very tough fight!! How silly!! And he also made a big issue out of it later…
Its a part of the game… he should’ve just ignored it, and enjoyed his victory…
(me from mumbai btw, and a strong sachin supporter)

By winning he had the last laugh and should have left it at that. No idea what he thought he could gain by bringing that to the forefront.

Mumbai crowd can be quite partisan and they get right behind their home team. It is but obvious that they would back their home team. But it is another thing to boo the opposing team, they need to learn to appreciate good cricket.
